Scientific research continues to show that the risk of UV-induced skin damage and skin cancer from not wearing sunscreen is significantly greater than any theoretical risk associated with approved sunscreen ingredients.
UV exposure happens year-round, even on cloudy days. Daily sunscreen use helps protect the skin from sunburn, premature aging, hyperpigmentation, and long-term UV damage.
Broad-spectrum sunscreen helps protect the skin against both UVA and UVB rays. UVA rays contribute to premature skin aging, while UVB rays are the primary cause of sunburn.

INGREDIENTS & FORMULATION
Our Tinted SPF 50 contains Butyloctyl Salicylate. It functions as an emollient and solvent that helps sunscreen spread evenly, improves the lightweight feel on the skin, and supports zinc oxide stability in the formula.
It is also commonly used in mineral sunscreens as an SPF booster, helping absorb UVB light by converting it into heat.
The Cosmetic Ingredient Review (CIR) Expert Panel concluded that salicylic acid and related salicylate compounds are safe for use in cosmetics under current usage concentrations.

OCEAN & ENVIRONMENT
The term “reef-safe” is not regulated, so we prefer “reef-friendly.” Our formulas are made without oxybenzone and octinoxate, two ingredients commonly discussed in relation to coral reef concerns.

Honestly, I’m not a sunscreen person. I’ve never understood how baking chemicals onto your skin is helpful. But, this sunscreen is different. It has good clean ingredients and does not feel heavy or sticky at all. I also love the fact that it’s slightly tinted so I don’t look like a ghost when I’m out in the sun. It’s the only sunscreen I will use from now on!
First off, most products in this category either compromise protection, load you up with unnecessary chemicals, or feel like you’re wearing a layer of grease in Arizona heat. This doesn’t.
Second, it goes on clean, spreads easily, and—this matters—doesn’t leave you looking like you chalked your entire body. It rubs in clear, dries well, and doesn’t feel heavy or suffocating. That alone puts it ahead of most mineral sunscreens.
Third, practical use: fragrance-free, water resistant, and no irritation. I’ve used it during outdoor workouts, long days in direct sun, and it holds up exactly the way it should. No burning, no skin reaction, no nonsense.
If you actually care about what you’re putting on your skin—and you spend any serious time outside—this is a solid choice.

I love a good sunscreen- living in AZ and gardening gotta protect my skin for life! This bottle is a great size and product that lasts! I have sensitive combination skin. It keeps my skin protected and hydrates. Never has broken me out. I can layer and reapply. It’s inspired me to move towards sunscreen makeup. I wore it while pregnant and during postpartum. I bought tinted mineral sunblock today at the Surfer Girl Festival in Oceanside and I’m seriously impressed. I’ve been paying $75 for a similar sunblock that wasn’t even water-resistant, but this one was only $25. Right away I noticed it’s not greasy at all, and the tint blends in so naturally you can’t even tell I have it on. Honestly, I don’t think I’ll be going back to the expensive brand after this.
